VITAL S.p.A.

VITAL S.p.A. has been operating in the import and distribution of screws, bolts and mechanical fastening systems since 1975. Almost 50 years of business in the fasteners sector are a guarantee of a prompt response to the needs of an increasingly attentive customer base: Competence, Quality and Punctuality.

The company’s headquarters are located in Pioltello (MI) in a recently-completed building, inaugurated in July 2018, which offers a total surface area of approximately 12,000 square metres, 6,000 of which are covered.
The location is strategic as it is close by to the most important connecting roads (Milan’s eastern and outer ring roads, A1, A4, A7, A8, A35) and to Milan-Linate international airport.
Alongside the head offices, there is also an operational branch located in Rescaldina (MI), nearby the A8 motorway and Milan-Malpensa international airport.

The local branch cover approximately 1,500 square metres and was completed in 2015.
VITAL S.p.A. has a total storage capacity of 16,000 pallet places and 7,500 tonnes of product, which ensures a wide range of around 7,000 items that are compliant with UNI – DIN – ISO – EN standards and are available for prompt delivery.
The company does not only operate in the standard fasteners sector, but over the years, it has developed a high level of know-how in the production of special parts made to specifications and/or samples provided by customers.

Over the years, VITAL S.p.A. has become a partner of many manufacturing companies, providing them with assistance and high-level products. In order to provide an increasingly complete service, VITAL S.p.A. makes available to its customers the long-standing expertise of its collaborators, who are able to assist customer companies already in the engineering phase of their products.

Moreover, for customers wishing to operate with periodic delivery contracts, VITAL S.p.A. ensures complete management of the supply programme, always guaranteeing a minimum stock of product available for prompt delivery: this is to respond flexibly to customers’ production and/or distribution needs.

THE
HEADQUARTER

The headquarters in Pioltello (MI) hosts all the company functions and the picking, order preparation and shipping warehouse which is organised with around 13,500 storage locations for Europallets. Packaging operations are also carried out in the same building using 2 semi-automatic packaging lines, as well as receiving from suppliers and acceptance control operations.

Inaugurated in July 2018 and operational since the following August, the headquarter is equipped with a modern narrow aisle warehouse system where, in addition to traditional reach trucks and forklifts, order pickers fork-lifts in combination with trilateral fork-lifts operate for overhead product picking activities.
In addition, a semi-automatic UPC (Under Pallet Carrier) storage system is installed in the building, which allows the intensive storage of approximately 1,500 Euro pallets which are either allocated for the supply of the picking locations of the main warehouse or used entirely for direct sales to customers.
All logistics activities are managed using a departmental warehouse management software “WMS” interfaced with the company ERP.
This system operates with the aid of radio frequency terminals and the use of barcodes, coordinating all warehouse operations and automatically managing fork-lifts within the product picking aisles and pallet locations.

OPERATIONAL
BRANCH

Inaugurated in December 2015, the premises have a warehouse equipped with the same narrow aisle storage system for order pickers and stacker-trucks that is featured at the head office.
